Re:Vive in Kenya 2026

 Its getting real now. A lot of the group going to Kenya are currently at New Wine, so praying that they have a fabulous time there to get them all prepped for Kenya.  We're currently in the process of buying various gifts to take with us, and its a lot of fun shopping for gifts. We are so blessed to have raised enough to get all of us to Kenya, and to be able to gift things to our lovely hosts out there.   Looking forward to meeting them in just two weeks. 

 Wow! This time in 3 weeks we should be in Nairobi airport making our way through customs! Its crazy that its so close now.   We've been collecting suitcases..   Receiving sports kit and games...       And last week we spent time praying together again with some of our church family....

 Wow, only 4 weeks.  Around a year ago I shared my crazy idea with the other youth leaders at our church. Why don't we take our youth group to Africa? And lets do to summer 2026! It was an idea I'd had for a while, but there were various reasons why 2026 should be the year. They could have said no - its too dangerous, its too difficult, its too expensive, but at every step they said ok, lets give this a go. Amazingly first the youth leaders, then the youth and their parents, and then the wider church got on board with my crazy idea. And now we're only 4 weeks away to a beautiful intergenerational trip. And we have raised more money than I could have dared dream - between those going on the trip, and fundraisers, and just generous individuals we have raised a significant amount to fund useful equipment and gifts for those we are visiting.    So today I am incredibly grateful.  Wow - one month from now we'll be in the air and soon to land in Nairobi. I can't believe its so close now. We're getting together as a team now, and we're just doing our last big push on organising and collecting things to take with us.  Wow, 5 weeks, 34 days - it feels like no time at all. I'm really excited but definitely a bit scared and nervous. Here's my video of what I'm looking forward to on this trip. You can see I made this a couple of weeks ago as I mention it being less than 8 weeks - and now only 5 weeks.  We're looking forward to meeting as a team again this Sunday to do more planning and praying.
