So there are now less than eleven weeks to go until we go to Kenya - its coming round quite quick now. Everything I'm doing feels quite practical at the moment - applying for visas, DBS, filling out safeguarding and medical forms, creating risk assessments. Its all essential but its a lot - good job I like paper work - I just feel sorry for everyone else that I keep messaging or emailing telling them to do things. :-) This is the boring part, the essential practical jobs, but its also exciting to think about what we'll be doing so soon. I'm really looking forwarding to spending time with Kenyan people, listening, experiencing, and helping where we can. We can't do a lot in two weeks, but we can see a lot and learn a lot, and I can't wait.

Some of the team got together again this week to train together. We worshipped, played a team game (see our wonderful paper tower in the photos) and learnt some Swahili (see a few examples below). We then spent some time thinking about the power of story, and how we could share some of the stories of what Jesus has done in our lives. It was really encouraging to hear stories of what God has done, and helped us think about what stories we might tell and how we might tell them while we're in Kenya.
